KXCR greets 2018 embracing change.

A bold transition is underway as KXCR explores a new programming template, streaming, expanded studio space, new volunteer roles, and underwriter support, at the direction of a diverse new Board of Directors, all of whom have wide experience. New members include, Joy Edwards, Ivy Medow and Nin Bebeau. You can find their short biographies on the menu by clicking on “Home” and scrolling to Board of Directors.

(If you can’t find the menu, your screen size may be too small.  Just click on the three red bars on the left of the masthead, and the menu will appear.)

At a time when most media sources are owned and homogenized by less than a handful of big corporations, the KXCR volunteer community is working hard to bring you locally produced music programs, interviews, information and community conversations…as well as programs from outside our neighborhood that enhance our lives and stretch our world. We offer you well researched news and information with thoughtful analysis, and delightful forays into science, health, books, poetry, language and the spirit. After nearly four years on the air  we are making changes that will broaden your listening experience and continue to make KXCR Relevant Radio. As part of our changes, we are working on this website to sync our new schedule to “Currently On  Air” and “Next Up”on the Home Page. Thanks for your patience.

We will keep you abreast of our exciting developments, so stay tuned. Check out our programming and give us a listen. And come into the station, across from the library, with any questions or suggestions….or just to say hello and meet your neighbors.

As always, your input is sought to support and guide our direction. We can’t do it without YOU!
